Bossa Studios has sent word that plans are afoot for the final alpha play test for Worlds Adrift. It will be the last chance for players to try out WA before it enters closed beta testing when the pool will be limited to those who have purchased the game.
During the next alpha event, players will be able to try out a number of new features and systems including:
- new biomes
- new ships
- a wider variety of flora and fauna
- individualized biome loot rules, weather patterns / barriers
- new ship appearances to let players customize their rides
- new and updated progression system
- "object life cycle" where items left laying around eventually sink or rot away
- new performance optimizations
- new and improved lighting
- better sail functionality
- other surprises
