Players Rally with Wargaming for Over $280k to Help Save the USS Texas -

The USS Texas is in danger of being lost forever, but thanks to Wargaming players and Project V.A.L.O.R., the Battleship Texas Foundation will be receiving over $280k to help refurbish the historic vessel damaged during this past summer's devastating hurricanes. But Wargaming isn't finished yet.

From now through March 31, 2018, Wargaming will donate $25 to the Battleship Texas Foundation for all new players referred to World of Warships through a special link and who play at least one battle in a non-premium Tier VI ship. In addition, players will be gifted the USS Texas for free as a prize for the Referral Program. Lastly, a special recruiting leaderboard will be available to show the Top 25.

“USS Texas is not only a historically significant ship, it’s one of the most popular ships in our game,” said Aleksandr Nikolaev, Regional Publishing Director, World of Warships, “so when we heard about the damage and devastation on board, we knew we had to do something to try and save her. We realize the ship is ultimately in need of millions of dollars for the save to eventually be successful, but hopefully we can help raise public awareness and contribute as much as we can in order to help the foundation out in its time of need.”

Be sure to check out our recent interview with the Wargaming / World of Warships team to learn more about the preservation project.

You can learn more about how to get involved by visiting the World of Warships site.
