NHL's Alexander 'Ovi' Ovechkin Becomes World of Warships' Latest Commander
Wargaming has announced yet another interesting choice for a World of Warships commander in the form of the NHL's Alexander 'Ovi' Ovechkin. The Washington Capital's player is an three-time NHL MVP and part of the current Stanley Cup winning team. He will be setting sail into World of Warships with an update coming later in October.
Ovi will appear as four different commanders, one that can serve with the US fleet, one for Soviet vessels and two unique ones. These two extra special commanders will be dual-nation, a first for World of Warships, meaning players can easily switch between Soviet and US fleets with a single commander. All four come with special perks which enhance the ship’s targeting and survivability and are personally voiced by Ovi so the hockey legend will be in charge of earning your greatness!
The update will also include new ship camouflage, patches and a commemorative collection as well as the Halloween event that will bring submarines into the game for the very first time.
