One of the greatest success stories in online games is Wargaming.net. Their company began with World of Tanks and has grown into a huge world-wide online presence. At PAX East the team hosted a fantastic panel for Master of Orion, the resurgence of the classic tactical game which now has a lot of people excited. They also outlined some updates to World of Warships which continues to grow.
The World of Warships site has a great preview of the v0.5.5 update that will be sailing into the game in the near future. Among the usual bug fixes and feature enhancements, the game will see dynamic weather events in the game including squalls that do not affect game play, though other effects will impair visibility and other battle factors.
The Soviet Cruiser line will enter World of Warships later today in North America. European and Asian players will be able to get hands on these new ships on March 24th. The new line includes a full Tech Tree for all nine ships including the Project 26 Kirov cruiser.
Wargaming is teasing the Soviet Cruiser line that will be added in the next World of Warships patch. The full roster of ships is featured in the video so take a look and see what you think!
World of Warships has been updated with the latest patch that brings the team-based battle system online. During team battle hours, players will be able to work cooperatively to take on other groups in PvP mayhem.
The World of Warships team has produced a new developer diary video to show off how team battles function in the game. Team battles will be launching soon, a feature that players have been asking for since the game launched last year. Team battles are the next step on the way to clan battles.
During a special series of events to celebrate World of Warships' six-month anniversary, ship captains will be taken on a tour of the world, the result of which will be several cool rewards including signal flags, camouflage, premium time and discounts on ships representing all nations.

World of Warships players have a new campaign to participate in with today's launch of Project R. Players earn "pearls" for participating in Project R that can then be used to purchase parts that will ultimately lead to building the legendary Japanese destroyer, Kamikaze.

Players will be able to take on special missions, earn ship skins and more. In addition, captains can take the helm of series-inspired Kongo-class battleships, with more to be added later.
