Serious Competitors and a Growing Community

One of the greatest success stories in online games is Wargaming.net. Their company began with World of Tanks and has grown into a huge world-wide online presence. At PAX East the team hosted a fantastic panel for Master of Orion, the resurgence of the classic tactical game which now has a lot of people excited. They also outlined some updates to World of Warships which continues to grow.


Dynamic Weather Effects & Much More Coming in Future Update

The World of Warships site has a great preview of the v0.5.5 update that will be sailing into the game in the near future. Among the usual bug fixes and feature enhancements, the game will see dynamic weather events in the game including squalls that do not affect game play, though other effects will impair visibility and other battle factors.


Soviet Cruisers Set Sail

The Soviet Cruiser line will enter World of Warships later today in North America. European and Asian players will be able to get hands on these new ships on March 24th. The new line includes a full Tech Tree for all nine ships including the Project 26 Kirov cruiser.

Wargaming has announced that new content inspired by the Arpeggio of Blue Steel anime will be making its way into World of Warships. Players will be able to take on special missions, earn ship skins and more. In addition, captains can take the helm of series-inspired Kongo-class battleships, with more to be added later.
