Three Royal Navy Aircraft Carriers Set Sail for World of Warships

Wargaming is expanding the fleet of aircraft carriers in World of Warships with today's arrival of the Royal Navy. Tier IV Hermes, Tier VI Furious and Tier VIII Implacable will become available to captains who complete a series of new missions and the Fly! Strike! Win! event. More British aircraft carriers will be released later this spring.


Take a Hockey Superstar Aboard Your Ship in World of Warships Blitz

World of Warships Blitz captains will be able to set sail with hockey superstar Alexander Ovechkin from now through February 28th. He comes in both American and Soviet flavors and he comes as part of a special event called Victory Blitz. To bring "Ovi" aboard, players participate in a certain number of battles to earn keys for special crates.


World of Warships Aircraft Carriers Overhauled in Latest Update

Wargaming has sent word that the latest update to World of Warships has been deployed. The patch brings big changes to the game's biggest ships: the aircraft carrier line. Aircraft carriers will be more easily controlled and managed by captains to make it "more accessible". Developers have written that "the previous RTS style is now being replaced with action-oriented cinematic gameplay".


World of Warships Sets Sail for Holiday Fun

The latest update has been deployed to World of Warships. The patch includes "In the Name of His Highness" event that provides captains with a slew of challenges and missions that ultimately yield the German Premium Tier VI battleship, the Prinz Eitel Friedrich. Players can also find special containers from Santa that can contain raire premium ships, flags, ship camouflages and more. Containers are earned for both logging in and completing missions.


World of Warships: Legends to Start Console Closed Beta on December 21st

PlayStation 4 and XBox One players are invited to head to the World of Warships: Legends site to sign up for an opportunity to participate in closed beta testing that will begin on December 21st. Those who pre-register for inclusion in the CBT will be awarded "exclusive rewards for when the game launches later in 2019".


World of Warships Rolls Out Black Friday Deals, Crates & More in New Update

World of Warships has been updated to bring a large number of changes to the sturdiness of the game's Destroyers. These ships will become more durable in battle thanks to a series of buffs. Captains will also see "multiple changes to maps to aid in maneuverability and lines of sight".


Sink Beneath the Seas as Submarines Arrive in World of Warships

Submarines have finally arrived in World of Warships as part of the three-mission Halloween event. The mission is called Terror of the Deep and sends players beneath the waves in any one of five submarines. Players will be able to master the undersea from today through November 15th.

World of Warships Naval Bases Getting a Major Overhaul in v0.7.9

When the next big update goes live in World of Warships, clans will find an almost completely new Naval Base system. As the Base grows, clans will "reap the benefits from various bonuses" including things like extra XP per fight, discounts on certain ship tiers during research and much more.


World of Warships Heading Underwater with New Submarines During the Halloween Event

World of Warships will soon be able to take the fight underwater when submarines launch during the upcoming Halloween event. During the event, players will be able to check out some spooky subs while exploring the undersea world. After the conclusion of the event, Wargaming will be checking out the new feature to "evaluate how best to completely integrate submarines into World of Warships permanently".


Legends Edition Announced for PlayStation 4 & XBox One

Wargaming has announced that World of Warship: Legends will be setting sail for PlayStation 4 and XBox One. Legends will be released in its final version in 2019, but devs are looking for "aspiring testers with knowledge of English to experience the game first". The first alpha test is expected to kick off in July and players are invited to sign up for a chance to be selected as a tester.


Wargaming Invites Players to Take Ships into Space in New April Fool's Event

From March 29th to April 11th, World of Warships players will be able to head into space for a special April Fool's event. This "release goes beyond sea skirmishes and historical battles, bringing a fresh and exciting experience to its audience". This is similar to the World of Tanks moon battles that occur during the same timeframe.


Battle of North Cape Event Lets You Celebrate the Holidays on the High Seas

World of Warships players looking for a unique way to celebrate the holidays can sail into game to check out the Battle of the North Cape taking place from now through January 17th. During the event, players can earn the "legendary Royal Navy Battleship, Duke of York" as well as other warships throughout the campaign.


WoWS: Blitz to Set Sail on January 18th

Wargaming is bringing World of Warships to mobile devices when World of Warships Blitz sets sail for the App Store and Google Play on January 18th. Mobile gamers using tablets and phones will be able to take part in "epic naval combat that combines teamwork, tactics and skills".
