North American World of Warcraft players can head into the game to check out today's big update that (finally) opens Battle for Azeroth's second raid. Battle for Dazar'alor sees the game's Alliance faction taking the fight directly to Horde forces in the Zandalari capital of Dazar'Alor. Today Normal and Heroic versions of the raid open, with Mythic and Raid Finder Wing 1 opening on January 29th.
In addition to the new raid, Battle for Azeroth Season 2 begins that includes a new PvP season and a new Mythic+ season.
Other components of today's update include:
- item and reward updates, including iLevel increases for gear obtained through playing
- changes to the Darkshore warfront have been implemented
