World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Warfronts Arrive Alongside BfA's First Raid - MMORPG.com

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth players have a lot more to do this week thanks to the arrival of Warfronts and the expansion's first raid. The Arathi Highlands Warfront is currently active with the Alliance in control with the Horde making "contributions" that will switch the Warfront's focus in a week or two. Alliance players able to play in the PvE Warfront have access to a world boss that drops 370+ gear.

Anchored in the real-time strategy (RTS) origins of Warcraft, you play the role of a lieutenant leading the charge on the ground of a massive battle. Together with 19 fellow allied players, you will create an outpost, secure resources, set up supply lines, and train troops to help push forward and assault an enemy stronghold. Unlike Warcraft III, you’ll be fighting in this conflict firsthand rather than commanding from a top-down perspective—putting you on the front lines of a large-scale, 20-player PvE experience.

Read more about Warfronts on the World of Warcraft site.

In addition to Warfronts, players can also check out the first BfA raid, Uldir. Currently, it is available in Normal and Heroic only, with Mythic and LFR (wing 1) coming next week. WoWHead has a great guide and strategy tips for the eight bosses residing in Uldir.

Lastly, PvP Season 1 was briefly enabled, but is currently down due to an inadvertent bug and an issue with Mythic+ chests has also been hotfixed after briefly making M+ unavailable. It appears that players were getting 390+ BfA gear from Legion's Mythic+ chests completed in the final week of the previous expansion.

From Polygon's article:

Instead, Blizzard accidentally opened the chests a little early, allowing players to get high-level items from Battle for Azerothas a reward for the dungeons they did in the last week of Legion. This resulted in players getting gear that was well above the game’s current item level cap of 355. In fact, some players have gotten items as high as 385, making them significantly more powerful than their less lucky peers.
