Did 100k Bot Bans Really Accomplish Anything? -

A few months ago, Blizzard announced that 100,000 World of Warcraft player accounts had been temporarily banned for up to six months for using bots. While arguably not actually solving the entire issue, it was a significant slap to bot users everywhere.

Fast forward three months or so and it appears that bot use is as prevalent as ever. Given dwindling player subscriptions, one has to wonder how many bots count these days?

Check out this video of a player in a dungeon event with, not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR bots. Be sure to turn your volume down before watching the video below as the streamer's mic was up much too high when recording.
