Last week Wargaming held its North American World of Tanks Semi-finals in San Francisco, and this week the publisher announced specifics regarding its worldwide Grand Finals which are being held in Warsaw, Poland.
The fledgling Wargaming.net League eSports division will host 12 elite World of Tanks teams from around the globe April 25-26 at EXPO XXI and when the dust settles, will be awarding prize money in the amount of $300,000. This year's Finals feature a revamped rule set and tournament format designed to challenge competitors and amp up matches for viewers and players alike.
Sponsors of this year's event include Intel, Razer and paysafecard, and the Polish Military Museum will be bringing two actual tanks--a T-34/85 and an M4AI Sherman--for WoT fans to check out.
Tickets to the Grand Finals are free to the public, and attendees will receive various prizes and freebies. For fans who can't make it all the way to Warsaw, the event will be shown on WGLEU's Twitch channel.
