World of Tanks is getting a new lick of paint soon. After years of methodical updates, Wargaming are introducing a host of new graphical changes with three upgraded maps. Some major sound enhancements are incoming this September. After Sabaton’s recent collaboration with World of Tanks, we sat down with Wargaming’s Al King to find out why it’s not just the loud noises that will blow you away.

World of Tanks players will be able to begin taking part in the new 30 vs 30 Grand Battles once the 9.20 update goes live. As part of the Grand Battles, a new map called Nebelburg (1.4 km x 1.4 km) will be added for fierce Tier X battles on a huge scale.

This week Wargaming, the makers of World of Tanks, revealed they're ready to take their mega-popular free-to-play game to a whole 'nother level with a single-player/co-op experience they're calling War Stories. With the big news ready to break at this month's GamesCom, they invited us to try the new mode ourselves. The new casual-friendly mode is set to do right by its thus-far-overlooked PvE fans and bring an interesting new dimension to World of Tanks.

August twenty-first marks the dawn of a new day for World of Tanks console players as Wargaming embarks on a new single-player/co-op venture called War Stories. Last week at Wargaming's Chicago offices, we spoke to Lead Game Designer Jeff Greg and Lead Environment Artist Andrew Hura about the challenges the team faced in creating this new mode.

When Update 9.19 goes live in World of Tanks, it will feature Ranked Battles. Players participating in this new game mode will gain access to "Bonds", a new currency used to purchase Improved Equipment and Directives. These items are specific to Ranked Battles.

World of Tanks "fanfluencer" SirFoch went on a YouTube tirade late last week after it was revealed that a Grand Finals premium tank was sporting an $80 price tag. According to Kotaku, SirFuchs used some mighty colorful language in describing the company as well as flipping the virtual finger. In response, Wargaming threatened to have his video taken down as a violation of copyright.

Wargaming has announced a new partnership with the National Military Family Organization, a group that provides support to spouses through scholarship programs and Operation Purple. From today through May 31st, players who purchase special VALOR emblems or flags in World of Tanks, World of Warships and World of Tanks Console will see 100% of all proceeds going directly to NMFA.

Frontline is the latest expansion for World of Tanks which allows players to join much bigger battles. The games now host 30v30 combat scenarios for everyone to join. We got the chance to talk with the World of Tanks’ Chris Stott to go over this latest edition.

Large scale 30v30 battles are coming to the World of Tanks public test realm on April 10th. To get things prepared for testing, Wargaming is asking for testers to submit their applications to try out the new mechanics, objectives and more.

For the first time, the World of Tanks Grand Finals will take place in Moscow, Russia. Twelve teams will be battling for a share of the $300,000 prize pool. The event will take place on May 23-24 and May 27-28 with the finals to be held at the VTB Ice Palace. Any of the tournament action is free to attendees.

In 2016, Wargaming partnered with War Child during a World of Tanks event called the Armistice Campaign. A special package of items and several unique emblems were offered during the event with 100% of Wargaming's share earmarked for War Child. Through these digital sales, World of Tanks players, nearly $85,000 was donated to the UK charity.

From now through March 27th, World of Tanks players who complete thirteen daily quests will earn a free T25 Pilot, a tier VIII medium "tank menace". The vehicle can also be unlocked via the WoT Premium Shop incrementally or all at once.
