The latest World of Tanks patch will launch on Thursday. Called "New Frontiers", the v9.0 update brings a new game mode, enhanced graphics in all battle arenas, new graphics for tanks and in-game objects as well as new hi-def models for ten popular tanks.

Long thought to only be a prototype, blueprint tank, Wargaming and the Kubinka Tank Museum are partnering to recreate the legendary Panzerkampfwagen VIII "Maus". The team plans to have parts, most of which did not survive modeling, created at locations around the world to make the Maus a working machine. Check out this fascinating video for more information.

Beginning Friday, April 11th, World of Tanks players will be able to take advantage of a series of anniversary events as the game celebrates its third anniversary. Players can gain experience boosts, shop discounts, discounts on premium memberships and much more.

As part of its continuing series of video developer diaries, the World of Tanks team has published the latest that deals with a pair of new combat modes that players can expect as 2014 wears on. Clans will be able to construct fortifications to gain "economic bonuses" and "Historical Battles, which bring authentic power balance and vehicle setups to the game." Wargaming announced this weekend that it is prepared to invest $10M dollars to develop the eSports side of its games, most notably World of Tanks. This is an additional $2M over last year's $8M investment into the eSports side of the gaming company.

Wargaming has announced that the World Grand Finals for World of Tanks has kicked off in Warsaw, Poland. The event will feature fourteen teams going head-to-head in an effort to take the world title and a portion of the prize purse. The Grand Finals will take place over the next three days and will be streamed live across several Twitch.tv channels.

World of Tanks players will want to check out Razer's new line of customized peripherals with a specific emphasis on the tactical war game. Razer has created a World of Tanks themed Death Adder mouse and mouse mat for fans everywhere.

Wargaming has let us know that the closed beta for the World of Tanks mobile tie-in, Blitz, has officially kicked off. In Blitz, teams face off against one another via mobile and tablet devices and features great tanks action. Over 150,000 users applied for entry into the closed beta which will grow over time.

Wargaming has announced the details for its forthcoming World of Tanks League Grand Finals event set to take place from April 4-6th in Warsaw, Poland. Fourteen teams will face off during the three day event that is free to view in person or via a variety of live stream channels.
