The last Feedback Friday of January touched on an issue many players have strong opinions about - how important is casting your spells before your opponents? For those who are unaware, Kingsisle releases a Feedback Friday every week to gather player opinions and suggestions on different topics.

Admit it, you've pulled a Leeroy Jenkins at least once. The excitement and anticipation of battle can lead to some unprepared fights ... and that's okay sometimes. In fact, even if you have no idea what you're doing, most people can manage to muscle through a boss with little to no problems. However, that's not always the case and it usually won't play out well with unsuspecting cheating bosses. One of the most important aspects in any MMO is the idea of teamwork.

Monday got a little bit better earlier this week when Kingsisle announced the addition of a brand new hoard pack - the Witch's Hoard! Now available in the Crown Shop for 399 crowns, the Witch's Hoard Pack brings Polaris themed items for your wizard to enjoy. New goodies in this pack include a new mount, pet, housing items, and gear!

With the holidays over and December winding down, it's that time of year for reflection and hope. Overall, I thought 2015 was a great year for Wizard101. Kingsisle squeezed in a lot of big changes and new features that will continue to make a lasting impact in the future.

My, does time fly! We're already about halfway through December and the spiral is bustling with fun items, events, giveaways, and contests to help celebrate the holidays!

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, I posed a simple question to the Wizard101 community. I asked, “Hey wizards, what are you thankful for?” The question gathered mixed results, but I did notice one constant. Almost all of the responses had “community” somewhere within them. Community is an important aspect in any online game, especially MMOs … but what exactly makes the Wizard101 community so special? Why do so many players feel so connected to it?

After five years in development, including a year in Beta, on this day Merle Ambrose and Gamma the Owl started guiding students through picking a class and preparing for that first fearsome fight with the Jade Oni (Malistaire didn’t even think to show up until a few months later)! Now that it’s been seven years and over 50 million registered accounts later, it’s time to let the numbers do the talking while we take a look back at seven big moments in the history of Wizard101.

Wizard101’s Ultra Summer Update went live this week with a whole lot of something for every type of player. New challenges from old foes, pets taking a dip in the DNA pool, a new age of PvP, and more housing and gardening than you can shake a glow stick at (the new Ultra plants have a really cool glow effect).

Community is the name of the game in today's MMO space and no one does it better than the team from KingsIsle. In today's column, we take a look at just one way the Wizard101 community is celebrated. Check it out!
