Wind Slayer was a free-to-play 2D side-scrolling MMO from Hamelin and Outspark set in the nation of Beuritania. It had cute manga graphics and featured traditional RPG mechanics such as questing and exploration, with six classes to choose from, a mentoring system, and three PvP modes. The game received a sequel, WindSlayer 2, and was shut down in August of 2011.
Fans of 2D side-scrolling online RPGs will want to check out WindSlayer 2 as it enters its closed beta phase of development. Closed beta apps are being accepted and players can grab a key from the official site.
