The latest Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade newsletter has been sent and in it, the development team talks about how they plan to build a game that players are looking forward to playing. To assist them, they will be launching a new website that will allow Founders to make a real impact on the development process.

We want to make sure we are creating the game the players are looking for and having a community of Founders involved will help insure this. We also need better communication tools to ask for and receive feedback. In order to do so, we are launching our website 2.0 at the same time as the Founder’s Program. We are going to have survey tools integrated in order to make polls on different topics. A section of the forums will be reserved, a privileged place where the developers and Founders will be able to discuss ideas. We will have a developer news section, where devs will be able to post daily what’s new on the project. The powerful content management system tool (CMS), called HEAP and developed by Turbulent, will help us for the swift updates we are expecting to make on the website. For those interested by this kind of tech, you can find more information on their web site

So what are we going to ask for feedback about? One of the much anticipated choices the Founders will have is the 5th sub-faction for each race. We will also need feedback on our design for the leadership system within the game. We are planning some tools to allow faction council members to give objectives to Strikeforces and squad leaders. We will want as much feedback on those as possible as they are really made for you! There are other topics, like some customization options and some background traits for your characters as well. We want you to be able to really be your character, so this part is crucial too.

Last but not least, the Founders will have early access to different modules of the game. We are currently working on the roadmap for the early access; it will be announced at the Founder’s Program launch. You can expect combat, invasion and weapons to try out. Personal quarters from all the factions’ ships are getting ready in the Warp to welcome you and serve as your home away from the battlefield.
