Warframe's latest expansion is hoping to stretch the limits of the popular sci-fi game by adding interactive social hubs called Relays.

What's been missing from cooperative third-person shooter, Warframe? Why, a retro, side-scrolling minigame of course! Developer Digital Extremes remedies that lack this week with the addition of "Wyrmius," a 1980's-arcade-style minigame that gives players the chance to blast enemies with Wyrm's signature laser rifle.

Free-to-play sci-fi action game Warframe released its new console update "Archwing" this week which gives players new "space ninja" tech that lets them zip around in space sans ship. It also gives them new colossal weapons, lore-heavy quests and a new reputation system called Syndicates.

Warframe players will be attempting to get themselves listed in the Guinness Book of World Records this Friday between 3:00-4:00 p.m. PST / 6:00-7:00 p.m. EST. Players are trying to set a record for "The Largest Gathering Of People Wearing False Mustaches Simultaneously In A Video Game" using mustaches provided earlier this month.

In the effort to improve men's health, developer Digital Extremes is joining the Movember Foundation's Movember campaign and encouraging Warframe players to join in with them.

Warframe players have a lot to look forward to with tomorrow's launch of the Archwing update. Most notably, players will now be able to fly in space without the aid of a ship. Also included is a new reputation system, new quests and weapons, a deeper story and much more.

Earlier this week, we were treated to a developer livestream with the devs at Digital Extremes to check out the Archwing update. Due later this month, Archwing will literally take the “space ninjas” into space with wings and weapons systems that attach to the Warframes themselves, making the players airborne weapons of death. The Warframe team took to the floor at last week's Gamescom to introduce players to a new game mode that will be coming to the game with Update 15. Called "Archwing", players will fight new ninja battles out in space. The team has released a new teaser video to introduce players to Archwing. Check it out!

Digital Extremes has updated Warframe with a new "immersion" patch entitled "Update 14: The Mad Cephalon". The update brings significant changes to the new user experience and adds immersive elements to get players invested in Warframe's story line. In addition, new pets, a new warframe, and new weapons have been introduced into the Warframe open beta.

From new weapons and Warframes to new game modes and tilesets, Warframe has seen quite a few dramatic changes and additions in the past year. That’s why we’re particularly excited about our upcoming Update 14 this week. Not only does it include a few meaty changes for our veteran players to chew on, but the overhauled new player experience and quest system means it’s never been a better time to get into the game!

Warframe fans will want to check out today's announcement that game figures will be available during this month's GamesCom and the San Diego Comic Con. First up will be the limited edition Excalibur statue for $69.99 if in attendance at the convention or $79.99 for those unable to attend. The edition is limited to 1000 pieces.

Warframe players have a new operation to check out that will lead to some awesome content and a fantastic machete as a reward. Called "Operation Breeding Grounds", players visit enemy ships to destroy several hives. Operation Breeding Grounds is scheduled to last from now through June 26th.

Digital Extremes has announced that Warframe will be making its debut on the XBox One later in 2014. The game will be released using the new ID@XBox feature which allows independent developers to self-publish their games.

Warframe is turning one year old today and celebrating some impressive numbers of players including eight million registered players and the news that it is the second most downloaded app on the PlayStation 4. To celebrate, the team will be gifting every player with a special anniversary edition of the DEX FURIS with a special skin, a high fire rate, terrific accuracy and low recoil.
