When v1.87 goes live in War Thunder, players will be able to take the fight to the new "Alaska" map. Alaska is considered a "rural" map, though it does involve taking a small town and its outskirts to complete. "Players will battle for control over a small Alaskan town and its immediate surroundings, fighting on wide city streets between skyscrapers in one engagement and dense evergreen forests in another," the blog reads.
Players will be tasked with controlling strategic locations in the city where "frantic close-quarters engagements will take place, suitable for heavy brawlers" while smaller, lighter vehicles work to keep control over the outer locations.
