Gaijin Entertainment has revealed the first information about the full-fledged seasonal system for squadron battles. There will be six seasons for year, each lasting approximately two months. Each team will begin new stats at the beginning of the season. New rewards have been added for participation, including Golden Eagles for the top teams, new decorative clan tags, unique decals.

Gaijin Entertainment recently released the War Thunder Content Development Kit for the community to utilize in the creation of new textures for pre-existing vehicles in the game. To date, more than a dozen skins have been submitted to the War Thunder Live, the content sharing platform, for assessment by the development team for possible inclusion in the game.

Players will have a new ability thanks to the arrival of the latest War Thunder update. Called "Flaming Arrows", new content includes the ability for players to pilot new anti-tank missile firing tanks with both short- and long-range capabilities.

Gaijin Entertainment has announced a series of events taking place in War Thunder in remembrance of Victory Day. Players can take part in battles to earn special rewards including a Victory Decal and PPSh SMG decoration. In addition, several items are on special sale through the game shop.

Gaijin has announced the successful deployment of the latest update to War Thunder that includes the first Royal Navy sailing ship called the "Golden Hind". All War Thunder players can take part in battles with the Golden Hind via the 'events' tab in Arcade mode. After initial testing, players will be able to run PvE oriented battles fighting off pirates, protecting merchant vessels, attacking treasure ships, run amphibious assaults and / or attack forts.

The War Thunder site has been updated with a look at the just-deployed Battle March update which has brought the formidable Sunderland Flying Boat, new snowy maps, new ground armor and the P61 Black Widow into the game.

Gaijin has updated the War Thunder site with the brief preview of a new location to be added in next update. Called Snowy Valley and, as the name implies, it is a cold mountain area with a small village and a railway station.

Gaijin Entertainment has announced that the playoffs in the War Thunder eSports League have now started. The fan-funded prize purse has reached over $40,000 and will be split among the participating teams. Funds are raised through the purchase of Dog Tags that expand opportunities to win prizes, rare items and more.

Gaijin Entertainment has sent word that the Royal Armour update to War Thunder has been successfully deployed and players can now get hold of British tanks and check out maps set during the African Front locations of Tunisia and El Alamein.

Gaijin developers have posted a visual graphic to show British ground vehicles that will make it into War Thunder in the next update. In addition, several developer blogs have been published that discuss the British vehicles and how they will impact the game.

Gaijin is enlisting the support of the War Thunder playerbase in determining which package of items will be most deeply discounted in the store in preparation for the game's third anniversary. In addition, the team has big plans for gifts, special events and much more beginning on November 1st, War Thunder's birthday.

Gaijin has announced that a new graphics engine is being used for War Thunder called the Dagor Engine. The new engine allows for physics-based rendering and big improvements in the destructible environments. To show off the Dagor Engine 4.0 in action, the team produced a new video. Gaijin has announced that the Cold Steel update has been applied to War Thunder servers. The patch brings the Enduring Confrontation mode to the game that allows players to realistically simulate battles. Gaijin has announced that the Victory Day celebration is underway in War Thunder. A trio of new maps, Normandy, Hürtgen Forest and Berlin, have been introduced into the game as well as the "weapons of victory" vehicles. In addition, Gaijin is celebrating War Thunder's nine million registered players.
