The folks at Voyage Century have posted an update on guilds, which saw major changes and additions with the game's last expansion.

The guild content has changed since the Fleet and Merchant Alliance, with 2 new elements being added to the new version of Voyage Century. Today the sea dogs from Voyage Century are going to be talking about the difference between new version guilds and old version guilds.

Guild Foundation

In the new version, the 5 member fleet requirement for founding a guild remains unchanged. Also, if your fleet belongs to a Merchant Alliance, your guild will also belong to the Merchant Alliance.

Join and quit a guild

The new version requires an individual to join a fleet before joining a guild. A guild is made up of many fleets working together, while in the old version, any individual could join a guild.

In the new version, if a player quits a guild or a fleet, they can leave at any time. Also, guild leaders are not able to kick out players who are not in the same fleet as them.

Unchanged from the old version is the line of succession. If the guild leader quits, the deputy guild leader will become the new leader, but if there is no deputy leader, the guild leader will not be able to quit the guild. If the guild leader quits the guild, he will also quit his fleet automatically.
