Nine months after its first closed beta test, Kuro Game's Wuthering Waves is now gearing up for its second test, with registrations now live. The developer also revealed that the game will be coming to both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.
Wuthering Waves is an open-world RPG that appears strikingly similar to HoYoverse’s Genshin Impact. The second closed beta test is said to address a number of major points of feedback the developer received following the first beta. In particular, issues with the game’s storyline and its “dreary” visuals. Kuro Game has gone ahead and re-written 90% of the game’s story in time for the next beta and overhauling the visions to be more vibrant and appealing.
It appears it was a Herculean task for the team to address feedback in time for this upcoming test, with one developer explaining that they’ve managed to accomplish reworking two to three years of work in just six months. This includes redoing scripts, voice acting, quests, art and cinematics, and more.
No start date is currently available for CBT2, but players can register for the open beta through February 7.
Wuthering Waves will release on PC, iOS, Android, and the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 platforms.
