Fatshark's co-op title set in the Warhammer universe, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, has been given an official release date. The upcoming 4-player game is set to release on September 13th for PC and Xbox Series S and X.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is set in the hive city of Tertium where players will need to team up to take on waves of enemies. Darktide is a follow-up on the highly successful Verminitide series by Fatshark, and the team aims to up the ante with this new fast-paced, combat-oriented title in the universe.
To celebrate the announcement of the upcoming Warhammer title, Fatshark has released a laid-back trailer where the only pressing matter seems to be whether one of the squad members is done with his turn in a round of cards. However, Darktide's developers are promising a combat experience in-game that forces players to learn both melee and FPS skills to stay ahead. Taking the role of a "convict turned agent" who is a member of the Inquisition, players will team up to root out corruption, specifically Admonition, a cult that seeks to gain control of Atoma Prime.
The four-player co-op title is set to release on September 13th on PC as well as Microsoft's Xbox Series consoles. You can check out the release announcement trailer in the embed above.
