The Kingdom Hearts Series is Coming to Steam on June 13

Kingdom Hearts is coming to Steam. Earlier this week, Square Enix revealed its plans to drop Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind DLC on June 13.

A new roughly five minute trailer released by Square Enix celebrates the announcement with a surprise new recording of the series’ iconic theme, Hikaru Utada’s “Simple and Clean.”

The trailer does a good job of sequencing the series’ story events in chronological order so that players know the right order in which to play the games. Yes, the Kingdom Hearts lore is that confusing.

Players who want to pick up everything all in one can purchase the Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece bundle, which includes all three games. Purchasers of Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind DLC will receive an exclusive ‘Dead of Night’ keyblade color themed to Steam’s blue and grey logo.

The Steam release of Kingdom Hearts isn’t the series’ first appearance on PC. Epic Games Store, which may as well be the John Cena of video game storefronts, has had the Kingdom Hearts games on its platform for years now. No one would blame you for not knowing this.
