If you've got 5 minutes, we've got 5 stories from the week that was in MMO and RPG news. Here is this week's Quick 5.
This week we saw our AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT review go live, and while we think the GPU is a good 1440p performer, the lack of a real DLSS competitor right now coupled with the availability issues for all things GPU cast a pall over the value proposition of the card. Additionally, we went hands-on with the upcoming ARPG Magic: Legends, and while the controls felt a little wonky on mouse and keyboard, the game's roots in the Magic: The Gathering IP shine through.
This week we also saw BioWare announce that Star War: The Old Republic was receiving what they are calling "Galactic Seasons," which is basically just a battle pass. Black Desert Online released its anticipated Sage class, with the flashy caster joining the deepening roster of Black Desert's classes. And finally RuneScape, even after a few weeks, is still working to resolve log-in issues for many of its players. The team at Jagex talked about steps they are taking as well as how they plan to compensate those affected by the blackout.
