The latest Starbase video to explore some of the game's features is out, this time about "rental lots". Rental lots are Starbase's player housing, a player's starbase to call home. The video lays out the details on how a player can achieve ownership of a starbase and what types of features can be added to it such as a landing platform, storage and "business" space, and much more.
Once players have earned enough credits, starbases open up. These can be rented on a mega station or can be a standalone starbase. Rental lots come in small, medium, large, and extra large. Using the terminal inside a station will show available lots, who owns the lot and the price of renting the space.
Players use placeable items to create a blueprint that, once finished, is then shown in the space rented. Using the building tool, the station can be constructed if the required materials are available. Blueprints can also be sold to other players or just saved by the player for their own use.
