The recently announced Star Wars: Squadrons just revealed their debut trailer, as part of Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest suite of announcements.
Star Wars: Squadrons will feature 5v5 dogfights and a "thrilling Star Wars single-player story," as mentioned on its official gamepage on EA's website. New never-before-seen locations will be featured, including the gas giant of Yavin Prime and the shattered moon of Galitan. Players will be able to fly X-Wings, TIE fighters, and other starfighter classes from both the New Republic fleet and Imperial fleet.
Additionally, EA announced that Star Wars: Squadrons will be completely playable in VR for both PS4 and PC as well as feature cross-play support. The release date is October 2, 2020 at a price of only $39.99. There will be an official gameplay reveal during the EA Play Live event scheduled for June 18 at 4:00pm PT.
