Fan favorite Star Wars games Star Wars: Battlefront (2004) and Star Wars: Battlefront II (2005) are coming back as part of a bundled package titled Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection.
The announcement came during the latest Nintendo Direct, though the collection will also be available on the PlayStation4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (with Steam Deck support) when it releases in March. The package includes all bonus content and DLC released for both titles. All of the game’s original modes, including solo play, campaign, 2P offline split-screen will be available as well.
There’s more on offer than nostalgia, however. Aspyr has also added bonus characters Asajj Ventress and Kit Fisto (previously Xbox exclusive). Hero Assault will also be playable on all available ground based maps in Battlefront II, where originally this mode was only playable on Tatooine.
The port is being handled by Aspyr, a studio known for porting various titles, including other Lucasfilm Games titles such as Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.
Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection retails for $35.01 and releases on March 14. Players who own either of the original games on Steam can pre-order the collection at a 20% discount.
