Only days before it was set to release on January 31, Bloodborne Kart, a fan-created Bloodborne themed kart racer (yes, you read that right), was forced to hit the brakes after Sony reached out to its developers.
The developers released a brief update summing the conversation up by saying they would need to “scrub the branding” off of the game, which will take some time and delay the release of the project. The developers also noted that the game would “look slightly different” when it does finally release. No new release date was made available at this time.
Bloodborne Kart was initially announced in early 2022 by its developer Lilith Walther, the same developer behind the incredible Bloodborne demake that gave us a retro PS1 styled version of the original game.
Assuming nothing else changes, Blodoborne Kart (or whatever it will be called next) should feature 16 maps, at least a dozen racers, and even a full-fledged singleplayer campaign, including boss fights.
Naturally, what would a kart racer be without multiplayer? The game will also feature local split screen multiplayer and a versus battle mode.
