The Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire team stars in the latest developer diary and backer update. In this new video, multiclassing is explored, but maybe even more exciting than that, is that we get a first look at character creation. Wow...things are looking good too.
Josh Sawyer leads the exploration of multiclassing that begins right from character creation. When a new character joins the party, or on your own character creation, you choose a primary class, subclass and an active ability. Subclasses are designed to play well with the primary, though some can pretty drastically change how the primary class plays.
Once the first class is chosen, a second can be selected. Each combo shows the "multiclass title" that shows in your character sheet.
