New World Drops A Teaser Video For An Upcoming Series Titled 'Legends Of New World'

Amazon is dropping a new video series for its upcoming MMORPG, New World, this time giving a glimpse into the legends that make up the island of Aeternum, apty named "Legends of New World."

The very short clip sets the stage for what players can start to expect when traveling the isle of Aeternum, the setting for Amazon's upcoming Age of Exploration-set MMO. Legends of New World is short, but it does set the tone for what those who may not have been following the MMO until recently can expect.

"Aeternum waits beyond every horizon and calls adventurers from across the world and ages they come," the narrator states at the outset, reminding players that the denizens and inhabitants of the Eternal Isle aren't just those explorers during the waning years of the Age of Exploration. Rather, Aeternum seems to be a place where travelers and adventurers from all ages across all cultures have sought out at one point or another.

It's a short trailer, so don't expect much in the realm of real storytelling and lore building here. However, it seems to set the tone for future chapters of this new New World series ahead of the MMO's August 31st launch.

In case you missed it tooNew World hasn't been idle during E3's weekend of gaming, as Scot Lane from the team chatted with Geoff Keighley about the MMO, and the Amazon team has been showing off its new Expeditions content.
