Mobile MMORPG’s are rising in popularity, but finding a great Mobile MMORPG seems to be tougher than expected. Netmarble has announced that Blade & Soul Revolution will be headed west, and it seems to be a contender as it has had stints of high grossing quarters in South Korea over the past few years.
The mobile game Blade & Soul Revolution is headed worldwide. The game will release on iOS and Android sometime in 2021, this will mark the game’s first release outside of Asia. Executive Producer of Netmarble, Andy Kang had this to say regarding the release:
“The Netmarble team could not be more thrilled to work with NCSoft once again to create the definitive mobile edition of their long-running Blade & Soul. Our success of Lineage 2: Revolution really showed a strong demand for full-featured MMORPG experiences players can easily pick-up and play anywhere around the world, and we are eager to continue that success with Blade & Soul Revolution’s upcoming launch.”
- Andy Kang, Executive Producer of Netmarble
Blade & Soul Revolution is ‘inspired by’ the PC version of Blade & Soul and uses Unreal Engine 4 to bring cinematic storytelling, exciting combat, and exceptional visuals to the mobile space. It looks as though Blade & Soul fans have a lot to look forward to in 2021 as NCSoft is also set to release Blade & Soul 2 sometime in 2021 as well.
