Lord of the Rings Online's Fate of Gundabad Expansion Launches Today - Are You Jumping Back Into Middle-earth?

The latest expansion in The Lord of the Rings Online, Fate of Gundabad, has launched today. Taking place in the northern reaches of Middle-earth, Fate of Gundabad concludes the story of Durin and the Legacy of the Dwarves as they aim to retake their ancient home of Gundabad.

Fate of Gundabad adds more zones to the MMORPG, as well as instances, raids and more. The story takes you through the ancient home of the Dwarves: Gundabad - the Mountain-home. The area has been overrun by Goblins and other foul beasts in the north for centuries, Durin and his Dwarves aim to retake the stronghold for their folk.

The expansion also features and increase in level cap to 140, as well as incorporates the recent additions of the Brawler classLotRO's first class since the Beorning in 2014, as well as the all new Legendary Item revamp.

Like the past few expansions, Fate of Gundabad is available in a few different editions, ranging in price from $39.99 through $129.99 for the Ultimate Fan Bundle. The differences are really mostly cosmetic, though the more expensive bundles do include level boosts up to 130, as well as additional character slots and more.

You can check out the expansion here. Also, to celebrate, Standing Stone Games has released a new trailer to celebrate the launch, which you can check out in the embed above. Planning on jumping into the new expansion? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
