Hood: Outlaws & Legends Is Now Out For Those Who Preordered, Live Officially On May 10th

If you pre-ordered Hood: Outlaws & Legends, you're able to hop in today as the early access period for the PvPvE squad-heist game has now kicked off. For those who are still waiting to see if its an experience worth checking out, the game "officially" launches on Monday, May 10th.

Hood: Outlaws & Legends sees two teams of four players attempt to infiltrate a stronghold to steal the treasure within. The two teams will not only have to contend with each other, but also the environment as they fight over the chest the sherrif needs to be parted with. The experience from Sumo Digital and Focus Home Interactive is inspired by the old Robin Hood tales, though it brings a bit of the gritty reality we've come to know in most medieval adaptations nowadays.

The team over the course of the last few months have broken down the different facets of Hood, from deep dives into the different classes and how team composition can help ensure your team leaves with the gold, instead of being on the short end of the assassin's dagger.

Today's early access launch hasn't been without its share of hiccups though, as some Epic Games Store players have been unable to access their Forest Lords pack, which gives pre-order players additional character and weapon skin cosmetics to show off during a heist. The team seems to be having a little bit of fun with the launch, re-releasing its launch trailer with "period appropriate music."

Like many other games, pre-ordering has got players into the game "early," starting today as opposed to the "official" launch on May 10th. As of this writing, Hood: Outlaws & Legends has about 87K viewers on Twitch across myriad streams. Hood: Outlaws & Legends is available on PC both on the Epic Games Store and Steam, as well as both the PlayStation and Xbox family of consoles. In case you're on the fence about whether to grab the game, which starts at $29.99 for the base version, be sure to check out the recent 8-minutes of gameplay released by the team ahead of today's early release.
