Announced at The Game Awards, Focus Home Interactive's upcoming multiplayer game, Hood: Outlaws & Legends got a new gameplay trailer as well as the official release date. Coming to PC, PlayStation consoles and Xbox platforms, the game will launch on May 10th, 2021.
The game takes the story of Robin Hood back to its roots, where Hood was a much darker character. Owen O'Brien, studio head of Sumo Newcastle, the team developing Hood, said thusly:
"[W]hat would it be like if HBO did Robin Hood in a Game of Thrones style?” But perhaps more “Battle of the Bastards” than the dragons…"
In Hood: Outlaws & Legends, players will be on a team of four, fighint another team, as well as "the State" in attempt to steal riches taken from the people. Players will be able to jump into this grittier story of Robin Hood on May 10th, though if you pre-order you'll get early access starting on May 7th, 2021.
