Goldshire Cliffs Student Video Brings WoW to a Modern Game Engine

Art student Collin Harris sent over a brief video showing off his submission to the next Blizzard Student Art Contest. In it, he shows the World of Warcraft location of Goldshire Cliffs as he envisions it using the Unreal Engine 4. 

My friend and I are students and we re-created a few areas in WoW using a next gen engine. It's the same engine that Naughty Dog and a bunch of other AAA game developers are using. It's kind of neat to see how far the iconic art style of Warcraft can be pushed, even in a next gen engine! 

It's fun to consider World of Warcraft in a modern engine. Now if we could just get Blizzard on board...
