Genshin Impact Shows Off New Character, Kaedehara Kazuha, In New Action Trailer

A new gameplay trailer from the Genshin Impact team shows off the new character, Kaedehara Kazuha, in action.  The samurai-themed character is seen hacking and slashing his way through enemies, all while trying to finish the last line of a stirring haiku.

The character itself, which was first introduced in a teaser video released previously, sees Kaedehara Kazuha in action, slashing enemies with his Katana-esque blade. The trailer, which starts with Kazuha composing a haiku, takes elements from samurai movies as well, with one scene portraying a black and white shot of an old bridge, reminiscent of an Akira Kurosawa flim.

MiHoYo showcased some of what there is to know about Kazuha thanks to a  teaser trailer released last week, which shows the poetic samurai escape Inazuma. The official Genshin Impact website lists him as the "Ronin from Inazuma," stating that his "razor sharp blade" has seen many battles.

Kaedehara Kazuha is a support character in Genshin Impact, who can increase party damage according to MiHoYo.

"By triggering a Swirl reaction, Kazuha can further buff his teammates with an Elemental Damage Bonus for their corresponding element. He can also pull opponents in and deal damage simultaneously with his Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan."

Kazuha's secret technique, Chihayaburu, sees the character unleash a powerful attack, one as "fierce as the rustling wind," which can pull items and enemies to Kazuha, only to get them into range for a powerful follow up attack. His Kazuha Slash deals damage in a single strike to enemies, dealing AOE Anemo damage.

You can check out the trailer above, as well as check out the official posting about the character on the official Genshin Impact website.
