Genshin Impact, the open-world action game from miHoYo, has officially launched in the West on PlayStation 4, Windows, Android and iOS devices. The game draws heavily from Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for inspiration, with some even caling it a Zelda clone at one point.
Last seen during August's PlayStation showcase, Genshin Impact released yesterday alongside its launch a new gameplay trailer, showcasing a bit of what you might expect before you hop into the free-to-play title. At first glance you might be remiss in thinking it's Breath of the Wild, as the art style is clearly inspired by the Nintendo game - something the team hasn't been shy about claiming as inspiration.
The trailer itself showcases some of the world, classes and characters you might meet along your journey, along with some gameplay footage. It definitely looks interesting, and as its free-to-play, doesn't cost anything to check out. Additionally, Genshin Impact supports full cross-play with PC, PS4 and mobile devices, as well as four-player co-op. We'll have our thoughts on Genshin Impact soon as our reviewer dives into it more in the coming days.
