Genshin Impact has been churning out content and new characters monthly since its meteoric rise in popularity. The latest character, Hu Tao, is set to be an interesting character unlike what we’ve seen before.
Hu Tao is headed to Genshin Impact and with her polearm and spirit friends on her side, she’s looking to be one of the best characters yet. With each new update it seems as though miHoYo wants to push the envelope on creating powerful characters that players will want to use. Hu Tao is especially interesting as she is detailed as a burst damage dealer, but she also controls spirits that can heal her for a portion of her maximum HP.

The ability to heal will no doubt come in handy, as her “Paramita Papilio State” will increase her attack based on her maximum HP at the time of activation, but the activation of the ability utilizes Guide to the Afterlife, which consumes part of her HP. This balancing act will play out similar to how one of Xiao’s abilities saps his HP. Hu Tao will be accompanies by a new story mission, that will be available starting March 2nd.
