CCP has launched their 3rd Quadrant of 2020 for EVE Online , entitled Zenith today. The Zenith Quadrant makes tremendous updates to the Abyssal Proving Grounds feature, with an added introduction of new Proving Filaments to New Eden. The Proving Filaments, which goes live today, takes pilots directly to an Abyssal Proving Ground inside Abyssal Deadspace to begin their PvP journey. Additional combat formats, ship classes, leaderboards, and a new Triglavian-themed setting are just some of the features that players can expect of the new Quadrant.
The Zenith Quadrant nips at the heels of massive changes that have happened to New Eden that were put in motion through the release of Quadrant 1: Fight or Flight, and Quadrant 2: Eclipse. Now, with Quadrant 3: Zenith, the final storyline for the Triglavian invasion is about to unfurl, and pilots will be tasked with influencing the ending of this past years events, with extenuating consequences inevitably planned as the Triglavian Empire’s power reaches its full strength.
“This year has been a reflection of one of the core tenets for EVE Online – that actions have consequences,” said Bergur Finnbogason, EVE Online’s Creative Director. “Splitting the year into four Quadrants has enabled us to systematically deliver our design philosophy that player choice should weave the fabric of New Eden, shaping the future of EVE’s universe and everyone within it. Capsuleers take note, in Quadrant 3: Zenith things are about to get wild.”
EVE players can expect a number of new rewards and challenges, as Zenith will encompass new live events, balance changes, brand-new content and huge visual updates that will unfold across the Quadrant amidst the roar of Triglavian warfare.
