Trek To Yomi an upcoming Samurai game from developers Leonard Menchiari and Flying Wild Hog is coming in 2022, bringing a cinematic, Kurosawa-esque presentation and storytelling to PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
The trailer, which looks beautiful in its black and white presentation, sees a young swordsmaster named Hiroki taking on foes and traveling an incredibly detailed version of fuedal Japan. The trailer, which boasts is actual gameplay with nothing pre-rendered, shows Hiroki running through burning towns, slaying enemies and more.

The Steam page for Trek to Yomi details many of the facets of gameplay, including combat against both "swordsmen and supernatural beings with a streamlined combat system based around the traditional weapons of the samurai."
"As a vow to his dying Master, the young swordsman Hiroki is sworn to protect his town and the people he loves against all threats. Faced with tragedy and bound to duty, the lone samurai must voyage beyond life and death to confront himself and decide his path forward."
