Capcom continues its spotlights of Dragon’s Dogma 2’s playable vocations with two videos focused on a pair of the game’s hybrid vocations: the Magick Archer and Mystic Spearhand.
Hybrid vocations are exclusive to the Arisen (player character) in Dragon’s Dogma 2, consistent with how they worked in its predecessor. This is perhaps due to being to complex for the game’s Pawn AI, or maybe Capcom just wants the player to feel a bit special.
The Magick Archer is a returning vocation capable of sacrificing HP to power up their attacks. As one might expect, they fight in ranged combat using a variety of magical arrows that offer its wielder much in the way of utility. Expect to be able to mark targets for homing attacks, lay traps, and even support allies.
The Mystic Spearhand is a new hybrid vocation in DD2. Replacing the Mystic Knight, this Fighter/Mage hybrid wields a Duospear and can teleport around the battlefield, wielding magic to reposition enemies.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 releases March 22 on the PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
