It’s been nearly a decade since Dragon Age fans were fed with Dragon Age: Inquisition in 2014. Fortunately, we’re just about a week away from the release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Bioware’s latest entry in the long running RPG series, and if the game’s newly dropped launch trailer is anything to go by, fans of the series will be eating good.
The trailer is full of all the typical Dragon Age trappings, from darkspawn, to blighted dragons, as well as tense moments showcasing the types of decisions our hero will have to make throughout what is sure to be an arduous endeavor to defeat the ancient elven gods threatening to tear down the Veil and bring destruction to Thedas.
As usual, players will assemble a party of companions (the Veilguard, in this case) to aid them in their journey, develop platonic and, of course, romantic relationships with, and call upon in battle to defeat their enemies.
Combat in this latest entry of Dragon Age is more action oriented than earlier entries in the series, with a focus on mobility, combos, and flashy attacks.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard arrives on October 31 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
