Destiny 2's Season of the Chosen Is Coming On February 9th With New Battlegrounds Activities, Gear, Strikes And More

Destiny 2's upcoming season 13, dubbed Season of the Chosen, is coming to the FPS this month, kicking off on February 9th and running through May 11th. The new season brings with it new Strikes, gear and a new battlegrounds activity for Guardians to take part in.

The Season of the Chosen will give Guardians Battlegrounds, a three person activity that puts them against Caiatl's warriors. Also coming are new Strikes, though Destiny vets might recognize them as the Devil's Lair and Fallen S.A.B.E.R. Strikes are coming to Destiny 2. A new strike will unlock later on in the season as well.

Season of the Chosen takes up the story of The New Empress, teased here via a press release:

With the Pyramids and Xivu Arath destabilizing the system, Empress Caiatl, leader of the Cabal and daughter of Calus, seeks an alliance. But when she demands more than Zavala can offer, negotiations collapse, and Guardians must become the tip of the spear that strikes at her growing war council.

Destiny 2's new season will also bring new gear to Season Pass owners, including the Praefectus Armor Set and Exotic Bow, Ticuu's Divination and more. In total, over 25 Exotic, Legendary and ritual weapons will be added to the shooter for Guardians to collect over the course of the season.
