Blade & Soul's long-awaited Unreal Engine 4 update is finally getting a release date, hitting Europe and America on September 8th. The update doesn't just bring the MMO to a new engine, but also introduces new systems, a new class and more when it launches.
Announced via Twitter (and press release) this morning, the update not only sees a graphical upgrade over Unreal Engine 3, but also brings many new optimizations to not just the performance of the MMO, but also to the game's network. Additionally, players can expect to find new systems when the update hits in September, such changes to the combat UI and more.

But one of the more significant additions with Unreal Engine 4 is the arrival of the 14th playable class, Dual Blade. The class does exactly as the name suggests: wields two blades in combat.
Via the Unreal Engine 4 upgrade site:
"The 14th class coming to Blade & Soul is a master of dual wielding. They embody lightning speed, devastating attacks, and flashy combat. The thrill of this unique swordfighter is found in pushing their limits, perfecting their combat, and risking their life for the thrill of improving their skills and honing the edge of their blades. They live by the mantra: the best defense is a good offense."
You can check out the new class in the embed above. You can learn more about Blade & Soul's update on the official website. For those who want to see the update in action ahead of the September 8th release, NCSOFT will be hosting a Twitch stream showing it off on August 26th at 11am PDT/2pm EDT.
