Capcom has completed its Street Fighter 6 Year 1 Character Pass with the release of the iconic master of the Satsui no Hado, Akuma. The update not only adds the character, stages, and other Akuma related content, Outfit 3 DLC, and SF6’s largest update yet with a massive balance update for the game’s second season.
Capcom went through the entire 21 character roster and made a series of adjustments, some nerfs, some buffs, depending on how characters stacked up. Some changes were also made to global mechanics such as Drive Reversal and Drive Parry. Capcom made some quality-of-life changes that should reduce the number of missed or accidental special moves as well that are sure to be appreciated by most fans.
Capcom also added the crowd-pleasing feature of allowing players to select and create playlists of background music on a per character basis.
Players can purchase tracks from the new in-game music shop across the following titles: Street Fighter 2, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Ultra Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter 3 (all three versions), Street Fighter Alpha (Warriors’ Dreams, 2, and 3), Street Fighter 4, and Street Fighter 5.
Tracks can be purchased with Drive Tickets or Fighter Coins.
