Haemimont Games has announced the release of the hardcore and casual modes for the action RPG Victor Vran. Hardcore mode challenged players to finish the game without having the character die. Casual mode provides players with more relaxed gameplay, though difficulty can be ramped up to Normal at any time. Lastly the soundtrack and digital artbook have been released via iTunes and Steam respectively.
Hardcore characters can only use equipment found by themselves or other Hardcore characters. If your Hero dies, he isn't lost completely; he loses his Hardcore status and can still be played.
