Not So MMO: Eden Rising Review

It’s not our fault that there is a peculiar alien AI waiting to coerce you into servitude and set you against the nearly insurmountable obstacle of an entire alien planet’s natural denizens. Don’t despair! Your friends can come, too! And, of course, the views are lovely this time of year. Don’t let the “anti-establishment” rhetoric worry you, this game has a lot to offer. This is our review of Nvizzio Creations and Meridian4’s open world, multiplayer, tower defense hybrid, Eden Rising.

Is it the next keyboard for you?

ASTRO A20 Wireless Review

The gaming peripheral market is, almost daily, becoming more competitive. With that, gaming headsets have become a high commodity, bridging the gap of communication with fellow players while providing quality sound. Regardless of what platform you game on, a quality headset is essentially a necessity and we at MMORPG.com have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to review the ASTRO A20.

Corsair Ironclaw RGB Wireless & Glaive RGB PRO Combined Review

CORSAIR has recognized the need for specific peripherals geared for specific uses and presents several high-quality options for that purpose. But stopping there would be to abandon an endeavor for true excellence, for both CORSAIR and the gamers. With an eye focused on recognizing said excellence, we at MMORPG.com will endeavor to review CORSAIR’s new Ironclaw RGB Wireless and Glaive RGB PRO gaming mice, both of which have been designed with FPS and MOBA gamers in mind.

Not So MMO - TechWars: Global Conflict Review

In recent years, the video game market has been flooded with battle arenas of all shapes and sizes. Not all are successful, but sometimes the attempts are merely doorways into something that could be, given the company has the foresight and resources to see it and implement it. In Techwars: Global Conflict, developer Argus Games and publisher Black Sun Game Publishing attempt to bring isometric, team-based mech warfare into the mix. This is our review.

Not So MMO: Generation Zero Review

Have you ever felt so strongly about a decade or so in history that you wish an army of robots would come and just wipe the whole mess away? Maybe the ‘80s? Avalanche Publishing bravely steps up to the task, making a valiant effort of doing just that with Generation Zero. This is our review.

Razer Basilisk Essential Gaming Mouse Review

The Razer Basilisk Essential is an effective and quality alternative to the more customizable version. While still maintaining a strong level of quality, some of the finite customizability has been scaled back in order to make a more affordable, yet highly effective variant for those of us who are little more budget-minded.

Impressions of Amazon's New World

On Tuesday, February 5th, the good people at Amazon and Fortyseven invited a group of game enthusiasts to attend an Alpha event to get a glimpse at the progress being made on their New World project. Not only were we given time to experience the game in its present form, but we were also taken on a tour of the dynamic Company vs. Company warfare that awaits players in this large scale PvP title.

DREVO Durendal: An Affordable and Effective Mechanical Keyboard

When it comes to mechanical keyboards for the modern gamer, the variety is vast and incorporates variances in style, efficacy, quality, and most importantly: price. Occasionally a diamond in the rough surfaces, bringing exceptionality to bear at a reasonable price. This is our review of the DREVO Durendal mechanical keyboard.

EverQuest II: Chaos Descending - What Are the Gods Up to Now?

You. ARE. Legend. Heads of nations know of you and either fear or respect you, beings of immense power have fallen to you and been trampled into the dusty annals of history. Even the Gods have taken notice and have gone so far as to personally petition for your help. But now… Now they want to put you on trial, and the consequential reverberations might just shatter the world. Again. This is our review of EverQuest II: Chaos Descending.

Dying Light: Bad Blood But It’s The Only Blood I Have… err Had...

In a dead city filled with terrors, you and eleven other desperate individuals are airdropped and stranded with nothing but what you can scavenge from dilapidated buildings and trains. Given only one route to survival, you must make your way quickly through the dangerous landscape to fulfill your mission; and that does not include making friends. This is our Dying Light: Bad Blood review.

The Maestros Review - a Symphony of Steampunk & Alchemical Battle

What if we could evolve the RTS platform a bid, harmonize the melody with just the right notes to enliven the old tunes in such a way it might catch your attention again? Maybe it can be done. And maybe a small indie development team like Systence Games is just the one to do it and The Maestros is just the instrument to do it with.

Heavy Metal Machines Review

In tribute to the Gods of rampant musical rage that saved us, arenas have been erected in which machines dedicated to the remembrance of our saving grace are pitted against each other in not-so-mortal battle. Welcome to Heavy Metal Machines, a unique MOBA developed by Hoplon, that incorporates tricked-out mega vehicles and takes this genre of multiplayer games a few interesting steps in a new direction. This is our Heavy Metal Machines review.

Storming the Seas & Making Friends with Assassin's Creed: Odyssey Game Director Scott Philips

As a continuation of my adventures in ancient Greece with Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, I also managed to snag a moment with Scott Philips, the Game director. Scott was very open and willing to share some of the specifics on some new and improved in-game mechanics that have been incorporated into Odyssey, and share his thoughts on the potential scope of future AC games.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Hands-On Impressions

Last week I was given the intense privilege of attending a hands-on session with Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and was overwhelmed, positively so, with what I saw and experienced. In previous entries to the Assassin's Creed series, there has been some dispute into whether the titles were all that players were expecting to see, and I was one of those who, at times, harbored skepticisms.
