The Mandate of Heaven DLC is coming to Total War: Three Kingdoms on January 16.
The DLC will focus on the tumultuous events prior to the base-game campaign where discontent surrounds Emperor Liang as he deals with an administrative power-struggle as well as the ravaging Yellow Turban tribes who threaten his dynasty.
Additionally, Mandate of Heaven will bring with it tweaks, balance changes, bug fixes, and improvements all around. The DLC will feature 11 playable new and existing factions, nine unique characters, and over 40 units. Here’s how it breaks down:
- 6 new playable factions – including the Han Empire.
- 5 existing factions – with origin stories and new starting positions.
- 9 new unique characters – featuring the Zhang brothers and Emperor Ling.
- 40 new units - including siege machinery and faction specific elites.
