Torment: Tides of Numenera Overview
Torment: Tides of Numenera is an 2.5D story-driven RPG based upon the Numenera universe. A followup to Planescape: Torment, the game was successfully crowdfunded through a Kickstarter campaign within hours.
The protagonist is known as the Last Castoff, a body housing the consciousness of an ancient that has been reborn in new bodies through time. Each of his castoffs, once he left them, developed their own consciousnesses, and thus became targets.
With lore and depth of story primary focuses of development, expect combat to take a secondary role in gameplay. Your Last Castoff will learn skills through interaction with the world and get to know both potential companions and enemies throughout.
