The Das Tal site has been updated with a new developer blog that gives a post-mortem look at the first weekend of the Summer Alpha. Players are flocking to the game to help test out systems. Server capacity was doubled and servers remained stable for the most part.
The team also acknowledges that there were issues, in particular with long loading queues and too much lag. IN addition, some people had issues with download, the world map was not properly manifesting and more. Lastly, the forums on the official site went down as well. To that end, an apology has been issued to players with a promise that the next alpha will be more thoroughly load-tested.
On the docket prior to the next event:
- improved server performance
- fix leftover bugs
- fix rubberbanding
