The Division will be growing later this fall with the release of Update 1.8: Resistance. The content expansion is free to all players on all platforms and includes the Resistance PvE mode and Skirmish PvP mode, both new to the game. In addition, the West Side Pier map will spread over two zones and Camp Clinton social space will open up where players can meet up to take on adventures together.
Resistance PvE sends four agents to take on increasingly large and difficult numbers of enemies from all representative factions. The longer they survive, the better the rewards.
Skirmish PvP mode pits two teams of four agents against one another. The team with the larger number of kills before the timer runs out wins.
Finally, the Resistance update brings a host of smaller adjustments, including improvements to the Underground DLC and rogue mechanics, as well as gear system changes that will enable you to improve the stats on your favorite items.
