On February 11th, Ubisoft officially announced that we will be returning to New York, and not just Coney Island, but to lower Manhattan, where we will encounter threats new and old in The Division 2: Warlords of New York. In our Hands On Preview video, we talk about the story, the gear update that The Division 2 fans have all been waiting for, and what players can expect from the new content.

While the video will cover the basics of what you can expect in Warlords of New York and speak briefly about how the new mission may differ from what players have seen in Washington DC, there are still a lot of details regarding this expansion that we were not able to touch on during our hands-on playtest. Many of the new skills were unusable, and all of the gear we obtained was generally low tier, and didn’t touch on what a high end build might look like. We were also limited to the areas that we could visit, but we were able to take on several side quests, one main quest, and explore one of the zones with the time we had.

The Division 2: Warlords of New York will no doubt entice players with a brand new story, new end game content, new skills and new and reworked exotic weapons to play with. In addition to the new content, Ubisoft will be foregoing any additional season passes, but not removing the premise of seasons, which will provide new content on a seasonal basis, bring new Rogue Agents through manhunts, and give players the ability to earn seasonal experience as well.  As Warlords of New York is following quickly on the heels of the Coney Island update, Ubisofts expansion is shaping up to be one of, if not the most substantial content update The Division has ever seen.

Full Disclosure: Travel and Hotel accommodations for this event were provided by Ubisoft.
